Why Raw accounts

A Raw (or Zero) account gives a very small spread plus a fixed commission, so the cost of each trade is clear. A standard account has no commission but a wider spread, which changes how a gold EA behaves. The published backtest used Fusion Markets data.

Set up in short

Yes. A Fusion Markets or IC Markets Raw (or Zero) account in USD is required. Standard accounts have no commission but a wider spread, which changes how a gold EA behaves, so only Raw accounts are supported.
